Gerard leads Southern Land Company's acquisitions and commercial leasing groups.  He is responsible for sourcing, underwriting and closing national value-add and development transactions.  He also coordinates retail and office leasing across a national mixed-use portfolio.

With more than two decades of experience in real estate acquisitions and asset management, Gerard has a proven return track record and demonstrates effective risk management. He led an investment team at J.P. Morgan Asset Management – Real Estate Americas (“J.P. Morgan”) and was part of a value-add portfolio management team PGIM Real Estate. During his tenure at J.P. Morgan, Gerard set investment strategy and executed property lifecycle decisions, including acquisitions, construction start, renovation and disposition for multifamily, retail and office assets.

Gerard earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from Rutgers University, a Master of Science in accounting from Seton Hall University, and a Master of Business Administration from New York University.
