Chris manages tenant relationships, vendor relations, and supervises contractors for Icarus holdings. He also surveys buildings Icarus may consider acquiring, estimating necessary renovations costs. Also, he tries to maximize efficiencies and minimize downtime between units becoming vacant, getting renovated, and getting rented as well as trying to improve tenant experience to decrease turnover and increase retention. As a student in finance at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Chris purchased a five-unit building during his junior year, learning the real estate investment and management business first-hand at a young age. A Chicago resident, he says, “Real estate is a really long-term investment; you have to be patient.”
